Event Overview

The Montreal Space Symposium (MSS) will be a public conference to discuss, address, and plan for the future of space in Montreal and Canada. MSS will showcase a plethora of recent contributions and advancements in the Canadian space industry and Canadian space research.

MSS hopes to provide a platform for leaders to discuss the current state of the space industry and research in Canada and set out ways to improve it. It will explore current and future issues in these fields in order to bring awareness to key areas for improvement. The symposium will also aim to increase exposure and interest from the general population in tackling these issues. Finally, it hopes to empower active members in the field and encourage the development of opportunities for future generations.

Generic Questions About This Event

Anybody! This event is targetting students, professionals as well as the general public.

The day part of the event is completely free. The evening events, (the banquet and the Wine and Cheese) will be extra (cost TBD).

Palais des Congres has several restaurants on the ground floor, you'll find something to satisfy your taste buds.

Please use public transit to make it to the venue. Bixi racks are located all around the building. You can access the Palais des Congres directly from Place d'Armes metro station, or walk 10 minutes from the Gare Centrale

Paid parking is also available:

  • Indoor parking lot (400 spots) on Chenneville Street, via Viger Ave
  • Indoor parking lot (1 200 spots) accessible via St. Antoine Street.

You will have to attend the MSS to get an answer to that one. Come get insight from industry leader on how to get involved and make an impact in the space industry.

A various spectrum of subjects will be covered, from "what is space" to the newest groundbreaking technologies being developped. More details to come soon!

The MSSA is a regroupment of student space associations across Montreal universities. We united under the common goal of promoting space related discussions and awareness to the public.
